Our Founder: Jorge A. Hernandez
Jorge A. Hernandez is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global Tower Sites. Mr. Hernandez is an accomplished international entrepreneur involved in numerous major real estate, telecommunications, services, technology and luxury wine & olive oil production projects.
In 1992, at the age of 19 Mr. Hernandez took control of his family’s construction companies –established contractors in the sector which had built the United States Embassy in Guatemala among numerous other multinationals buildings. This experience served him to establish a construction group focused on the development and promotion of successful housing projects, built to suit projects for multinationals companies such as: Unilever, Shell Oil, British American Tobacco, Maersk Sealand, PepsiCo, Kimberly Clark, Walmart, Elektra, etc. He also has built Corporate Buildings, Corporate Warehouses, Distribution and Shopping Centers.
His entry in the telecommunications sector provided the opportunity for the strategic expansion of the group to international markets. Working as a trusted to provider to many of the region’s largest carriers, the company expanded its offerings to provide not just towers, but solutions meeting the needs of both operators and municipalities. What began as a site acquisition company for telecom operators rapidly transformed into a leading private company of telecommunications infrastructure provider in Latin America offering infrastructure solutions, site planning, and custom execution. Today, the Telecommunication Group operates in Central America, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Philippines, Chile, and United States.
His experience working in many countries in Latin America and living since 2010 in United States has given him a unique perspective developing business opportunities in challenging markets, continuing the expansion of the company into new sectors. In Napa Valley, Mr. Hernandez is actively developing real estate projects related to wine production, hospitality, and public safety. Also, in Napa and the Amazon – between the border of Peru and Brazil- is developing an Early Fire Detection system to prevent fires.
Mr. Hernandez studied Civil Engineering at the University Tecnológico de Monterrey, in Mexico.
